Alterations for weddings, proms, formals, officewear, and everyday clothing.

Why Trust Your Clothes With Me

Since opening my shop in 2014, I have provided services to a great many customers.  They have all been very pleased with the quality and promptness of my work.  They have been returning and referring other people to me.

They appreciate that I have a large work table for accurate measuring and cutting, and I have hundreds of thread colors available for a good match to their garments.  In fact, if I don't have a color I'm happy with, I go purchase it.  In other words, the new hem on a "royal plum" bridesmaid dress will be done with "royal plum" thread!

The customer receives a copy of the order form containing my contact information, which specifies the garments and work to be done.

All items brought for work are protected in separate shop-owned garment bags while at the shop.

You are assured of excellent customer service, consideration of your time, and professional care of your garments.

Prior to relocating here to Summerville in 2013, I lived on Hilton Head Island, where sewing clients included the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa and its office staff, as well as staff of the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce.

On Hilton Head, I also designed and sewed stage-set items and provided costume alterations for two-week runs of 28 Broadway-type shows of Seahawk Stage Productions, such as Les Miserables, Big River, Chess, 1776, and The Crucible, to name a few.
WHAT TO DO WHEN THE DRESS WON'T ZIP UP?  NOT TO WORRY!
Whether it's a wedding dress, a prom dress, or any formal, a common problem is that it just won't zip up all the way in back.  Well, there's an easy solution!  I remove the zipper and install what's called a "corset-back" or "lace-up back" for you.  The picture at left is a wedding dress I converted in this way, and the customer was thrilled!  A complete corset kit can be purchased by the customer online, in a variety of colors.  I will provide all the information when you bring your dress in for a fitting.  For any questions before you make a choice, feel free to call me at the shop (843-384-4559) and I will be happy to help!
